For a long time, the golf retail experience has been an afterthought. Not because the people running it don't care,  they do. But golf professionals are being pulled in every direction at once. Managing staff, overseeing operations, keeping members happy. Unfortunately, retail sometimes ends up near the bottom of a very long list.

The result is a shop that looks like every other shop. Products that feel predictable. An experience that leaves nothing to remember.

We saw that gap and decided to do something about it.

Who we are

Specialists in finding what makes your pro shop special.

West is a golf retail consultancy built on the belief that the pro shop experience can be genuinely extraordinary. We work with general managers, directors of golf, and golf professionals to understand what makes each course unique, and then create a retail environment around that.

We curate products. We shape spaces. We train staff. We spot trends long before they arrive and bring only what belongs.

But more than anything, we listen. Every course has its own culture, its own membership, its own personality. Our job is to find that pulse and build something around it that feels completely organic and natural, as if  it could only exist there.

Inspiration doesn't live inside the golf industry. It never has. The most interesting ideas in retail are happening in fashion, in culture, in the places most people in golf aren't looking. We look there constantly.

That restless curiosity is what keeps our clients ahead. Not chasing trends, but anticipating them. 
We also believe that no two courses should ever look the same. A private club on Vancouver Island and a resort course in Nebraska have completely different stories to tell. We take both of those seriously. Every engagement we take on starts from scratch, because that's the only way to get it right.

We believe the pro shop is one of the most underestimated spaces in golf. It's the first thing a member or guest sees and the last thing they touch on their way out. That kind of real estate deserves real intention.

Our philosophy is simple. Listen first. Build around what's already there. Bring in what belongs and leave out everything that doesn't. Never force it. Never copy it. Never settle for what everyone else is already doing.

The experience is everything. We believe and take that very seriously.
