Background
Set against what is arguably one of the most breathtaking backdrops on earth, Sandpiper Golf Club has long been celebrated for its untamed coastal beauty and dramatic natural landscape. Yet despite its stunning surroundings and loyal following, it had never been recognized as a true destination for golf merchandise. While players came for the views and the unforgettable experience, they rarely came expecting a retail offering that matched the magnificence just outside the clubhouse doors.
Solution
Before making a single move, we took a deliberate, strategic pause to assess the full landscape. From geographic location and member demographics to guest behavior, purchasing patterns, and existing merchandising strategy, nothing was overlooked. We studied the audience, evaluated the brand positioning, and scrutinized the retail environment from every angle. Only after understanding the complete ecosystem, who the customer was, what they valued, and how they engaged, did we begin to shape a plan designed not just to improve sales, but to elevate the entire retail experience.
Outcome
We didn’t just refresh the pro shop, we completely redefined it. From layout and flow to fixtures, finishes, and product curation, every detail was redesigned, reimagined, and reinvigorated with intention. The goal was ambitious: to transform the shop into a destination experience equal to the awe of the course itself. The results spoke for themselves. Sales surged, engagement increased, and the transformation earned industry recognition when the PGA of British Columbia named Sandpiper Golf Club Regional Pro Shop and Golf Facility of the Year.
